To the Highland Community:
The time has arrived for the Police Department to move to our new home! As excited as we are, we acknowledge former leaders who brought us to this point. We wish that Chief Terry Bell could be here for this time to see his vision become reality. So many people have been working on this project so, to try and say thank you to all of them individually would take a long time. For those of you who have had part in this project, we say THANK YOU! As the new Chief, I am blessed to be part of this moment in Highland history.
For the citizens, we are moving all radios and electronics on Tuesday, November 30th. We have been fortunate to team up with the Edwardsville Police Department for this transition. EPD has provided us a complete work station. With the help of AT&T, GTSI, and our own Technology team, our phones, computers, and radios will be able to function as they normally would from their facility. You should not notice a thing! The only difference, for this transition time, will be that our dispatcher will be operating out of the Edwardsville Police Department. You will notice a lot of traffic between the Mulberry facility and the PSB. Please be patient with us during this time.
Again, thank you for all you have done to make this a reality.
Respectfully,
Chief Carole Presson
